I just remembered that I watched 16 wishes (also starring Debby Ryan) some time ago after repressing the memory of that movie since I watched it for the first time and it truly was an existential trip, and I mean trip.

The fact that she also got to be a superhero named Remix in Mighty Med, just now realizing that "Radio Rebel" is a WAY better name for a hero than Remix will ever be. Alas. It was already taken.

The fact that every teen in this movie listens to the radio almost religiously was always so strange to me. I don’t know about anywhere else, but none of the kids and teens I knew at the time ever listened to the radio like that. In my school, YouTube and Vine were all the rage. People only ever listened to the radio when they needed some noise on, like on the bus ride to school. And even then, most people would just listen to their iPods.
