I still think an incline lift would be better here. Something is only accessible if one can use it independently. A lift doesn't require assistance to use.

I feel like there has to be an easier way to do this🤔 it's still better than having no accessibility at all, but it requires a few people. Maybe something like the stair mechanism in the movie "Up"? there's a scene where Carl goes down the stairs in a chair that slides down. Something like that - the wheelchair can attach to the side of the staircase/elevator 😇 hopefully things like this are improved in the future👍

Usually the advantage of escalators is that they are faster than elevators. This system seems like a good idea but it takes at least two people to assist and one to block the elevator and it's rather slow. With some advancements it would be really cool.

This man was assisted by two other guys, who had to stop the engine and hold down the wheelchair. How on Earth could this escalator be possibly considered accessible at all?
