Oh, the blue daisy necklace is so much fun! The Calumet cookbook with the little "kewpie" kids will be so much fun in journals.s  I still use Calumet Baking Powder. Oh, my goodness those Rand-McNally books have such great illustrations. I've never seen them that old. My grandma used to crochet potholders with loops at the top like the pink and white ones you got. She put the loops on so she could hang them on a hook next to her stove. I have many of those she made but I just hang them in the pantry for decoration.

I enjoyed seeing all of your finds. You really got some great things at the best prices. The books and cookbooks from the 30s and 40s are wonderful. Love the illustrations, especially the ones in the I Wonder Why and the Storyland books. The colors in those are so vivid. Thanks for sharing your finds.

Great finds. Those pillows were freaky. If you can find a bag of any sewing items for $2 - grab them! I love finding hidden gems in books.

Hi Meg! I don’t have that particular book about the seasons, but I am drawn to them! I also love Christmas pins! I used one as a closure with a velvet ribbon on my 70s Christmas journal. Oh those 30s kitchen bags are gems!! How nice they were given to you! And I know what paper you are referring to! It sure stands up to time and has a yummy surface! Fun fact: I looked up the "I Wonder Why" book and the illustrator is one of the creators of Buster Brown! That was my favorite of your finds today. And the Calumet book.
