this was great to see. always thought the production was ironically complex for being “generic bubble gum pop music” back in the day. would love to see your spin on “neptunes” type of production back in the day

What i noticed about 2000s style is how much acoustic guitars were used and strings. This sample pack is gold my man. I have some synths in my studio alot sounds from the roland jv 2080.

Bhai!
A big thank you for creating this fantastic video on making 2000s pop music. Although I was introduced to Western music a bit later around 2007, I must admit that many of my all-time favorite songs come from that iconic Timbaland and Max Martin era. Your video has not only brought back some incredible memories but also given me a deeper appreciation for the artistry and production techniques behind those nostalgic hits. Keep up the great work, and please continue sharing your insights and tutorials. Looking forward to more musical journeys down memory lane!

This is awesome! I bought the Y2K pack and am looking forward to using it a lot. There's a shortage of videos on Youtube about this style of production. I'd love to see a video of you making a guitar-style Backstreet Boys song, like I Want It That Way or Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely. Keep up the great work!

In those days in those productions they mostly used Korg Trinity, and Roland and E-mu sound modules

Have to shout out the originators of this sound - Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis who invented New Jack Swing. Those drums and Orchestra hits are key elements of their sound that Max Martin was "Inspired" by.

I feel so much nostalgia for 90's and 00's boy bands and this was great!! I would love to see/hear your take on a boy band type ballad/love song. And for those that say that boy bands don't make 'real music' clearly haven't seen this video because a lot of work goes into it!! Well done!
