this isn't working for me, i tried with and without the at character behind the name, not sure if this is related to the react native version i'm using

Yeah... it works, but it is hard to call it an elegant way. The implementation looks a bit hackish IMHO. But thanks anyway. Also, the ts engine sees it as an error.
