Judas Priest The Sentinel Guitar Solo with TAB

Defenders of the Faith is the sequel to the bands highly successful screaming with Vengeance record that came out in 1982. The band has always gone back and forth between Metal and Rock, and with Defenders of the Faith the band went pure Metal. KK and Glenn also went full shred on this record with sweeping and tapping and pinch harmonics. I love it. This is album is a perfect companion to Screaming with Vengeance and it would also foreshadow the heaviness that the band would experiment with in the 90’s.

The Sentinel is a lot of fun because Glenn and KK are trading solos. You can really hear the distinctive styles of each player. Glenn is definitely taking the drivers seat with the technical shred stuff and KK is being a little more bluesy. Suprisingly I found KK’s solos to be a little harder because his pinch harmonics were so deliberate, I had to find the exact spot for them to sound right

Learning this right now. The sweep part of Tipton on the songgster tab is clunky.. yours looks cleaner! Doing both of these in one seemless go is tough as shit lol..

Your videos are great and I would like to learn all the solos that you play perfectly, but unfortunately it is very difficult for me as you only play them at normal speed. Could you please play them twice: the first time at normal speed and with the backing track, and the second time at 50% speed and without the backing track? I know you're going to tell me that I can slow down videos on YouTube, and I know that too. But I invite you to try it yourself. The sound becomes all distorted and you can't hear the individual notes. Thank you Lorenzo

I think KK/Tipton are far more advanced guitarists than Murray/Smith - All Maiden solos are easy to play whereas Priest its always a challenge. Only like Megedeth comes close to Priest
