I'm starting a major in computer sciencer this winter semester.
I wanted to start some discrete mathematics, and went accross you videos.

In your example: Where A = {a, b, c } and B = {0, 1}, you showed that AxB = {(a, 0), (a, 1), (b, 0), (b, 1), (c, 0), (c, 1) }
Isn't the ordered pairs (0, a), (1, a), (0, b), (1, b), (0, c), (1, c) considered to the elements of the set AxB?
Making the set AxB = {(a, 0), (a, 1), (b, 0), (b, 1), (c, 0), (c, 1), (0, a), (1, a), (0, b), (1, b), (0, c), (1, c) }. And the cardinality, |AxB| = 12?

wow I was expecting to see matrices pop out in this video. That's what happens when you take linear algebra before discrete math. This stuff is very theoretical. I am looking forward to it.

For the practice exercises; you can basically confirm the answer by calculating the cardinality of 2 sets and check if the amount sets match that number? Ex: B x A where |B| = 2 and |A| = 3 means that the amount of sets I have to find is 6 ( 3 x 2 )?

Just out of curiosity, what happens when you cross an empty set with another empty set? Would you get an empty set?

Perhaps that was a good point where we can see a set of empty set {phi} in action once its cross product is taken with A then it will yield ordered pairs with (phi). Am I right? 10:30
