Editing Interior Architecture with Lightroom Classic - Professional Process Explained

Lightroom tutorial demonstrating how I use Lightroom's merge to HDR feature and then process the photo to bring out the best in this architectural interior. This technique can be applied to real estate and architectural photography and is a great way to seemlessly combine exposures for the interior and exterior.

There are many ways to bring back the over exposed exterior to a property. This is known as a window pull and this is one of my favourite ways to achieve that result.

Along with exposure blending we'll be using the local mask feature in Lightroom Classic to bring back, accentuate and control different areas of our photo.

In the follow-up video I'll show my finishing techniques and cover the popular question, how do I fix distortion in light shades. Hit the bell icon when you subscribe so you're notified when I release that video.

Great job. Very professional. Would a short video tutorial on shooting and real-time settings on the camera be provided? :)
metering mode, where to focus at f/11, +1 stop or 0 stop... things like that :) that would be great !! Best wishes.

Excellent explanation and final image, too. As a beginner, this type of detailed breakdown is priceless. I've shot a few regional projects which were received well but I can tell for myself that there's something short of the classy images I see from high-end professionals (of course, I'm not a high-end professional but that's the objective). Not sure if you take requests, but it'd be fantastic to get some insight into your compositional choices. Glad to have subbed (found excellent info on your main channel as well) and looking forward to more. Cheers!

Great video as usual. Your windows using HDR come out so much better than mine. My windows come out much lighter. I am using a bracket of three photos, 2 stops plus and minus the correct exposure as in histogram slightly left of center. How do I get the windows, after merging, closer to a better exposure like you get?

So are you saying that since you merged these together with HDR the finished product has all the information in it so that when you brighten a dark area you will not get the noise that you would if you had tried the same technique on one of the bracketed images?
