I've seen two reviews of this. One said it sucked horribly, the other said he wasnt finished finding all the things that sucked and was going to make a second video, which never happened.
One of the issues was that its cheaply constructed. Its stainless steel tube are actually two halves welded together, but poorly cleaned up. Another problem was getting it to start. It started fine the first run, after that, nothing. Also, the reed valves are not commonly in stock. They are fairly thin, but lifespan is undetermined because it would run anymore anyways.

@LWJCarrol Bruce has a pulsejet!! Funny!! Bruce is the Pulsejet master. He has MANY pulsejets. If there is anybody actively involved in the hobby, that can bring anything real about pulsejets, its Bruce.

Just FYI, the very loud, buzzing, pulsating noise IS NOT the valves. The noise come from its operation mode, which is a resonant mode. Thats how they work. Even valveless pulsejets (no moving parts whatsoever) sound the same!!

Pipes split  & Flowjectors bit basic but Fix the Flowjector and it starts & runs fine.Until the pipe splits.On Metho I got 4.25Lbs thrust with a 74 thal main jet.

just noted a mistake in this. Pulse jets work better and start better with Lower octane fuel.. Not high octane fuel..

The quality of the combustion chamber and exhaust tube on this HK pulse jet is absolutely horrible.  The reed mount and intake nozzle is good.  It's as if two completely different sources provided the parts.

V2 used a rocket engine, not a pulse jet. V1 used pulse jet.

Has anyone tried putting a pulsejet like this into a ramjet duct so it can have a hybrid function? I saw a y/t of a ramjet on the back-sort of a bypass afterburner. I'm thinking of a  r/j big enough  to completely enshroud the p/j, so it can have the low-speed attributes of a p/j, & the high speed capabilities of a r/j.

It reminds me very much of the pulse jet that used to be advertised in the US magazines years ago...just cant recall the makers name...Rgds...Laurie
