good vid! mine is leaking oil back there and after changing all the other gaskets, about the only thing left is that blasted cam position sensor ( thinking O-ring failure) Geezzzz I wish I had changed that when I had the intake off last time! hahahaha Live and learn.

I have replaced the oil pressure sensor with the intake in place and it was a nightmare. Now to decide if I can pull the intake off myself or I want to have a mechanic buddy of mine do the work. Thank you for the video!

What if you could just clean it and retuned the same sensor, what makes you think it's already bad?

Hey Andy, is this an expensive fix? I got that same code and I am experiencing a rough idle on my ‘13 Sierra. Also I believe my oil pressure sensor is leaking oil as well. Oil presos good but I took a picture of oil around the sensor.

I have a problem, 2005 Chevy trailblazer LT 5.3 engine. Where the cam sensor is located on the video you posted I find cylinder deactivation sensor with 5 pins. Do you have any idea where the cam sensor would be located? Including the knock sensors?

I had no codes, changed mine with Delphi, I had 215k miles when i put new valley pan gasket intake manifold gasket etc now i have the code p0342 and p0343. Is that just due to i need to relearn it?

Well, I guess you said this was a TrailBlazer, but didn't you mention the video applied to all the 5.3's? Gen 4 5.3's sensors were moved to the timing cover.

Great video! However I have a problem with mine where after installing the new OEM sensor, it's now throwing up a P0342 code where the sensor is getting a low voltage. I checked the harness and it was reading at 11.32 volts. Could it just be a faulty new sensor?

Can the sensor fail without throwing a code?

You can remove the sensor in 5 minutes or less 1/4" ratchet with and extension and 10 mil reach around back with left hand put finger on bolt the lower ratchet down on your finger and loosen the bolt then un plug and pop the sensor out so easy just did it and shops charge 2.6 hrs but do it in 5 minutes 😂😂😂
