Should you give money to your parents? Capital or Revenue?

Many people think if their parents ask for money, they should give it. I have NO VIEW on whether you should give. If I were a life-style consultant i would have had a view. As a finance person it is none of my business - give or do not give I am indifferent.
However, I would think if your parents are on a lower income-bracket it is better to give capital - let that money be invested in their name and let them derive the income...

Sir if there are serious financial situations, most of the times children are wise enough to understand and give their money. But sometimes parents take their children's salary for the sole purpose of controlling their lives, which to me is the saddest thing. I am 24 years old and I have veen working from 3 years and till now I was trained to give all my salary to my father. Few months ago i protested that I want to keep some with me for my expenses that are wifi bill, my phone recharge etc and he allowed to keep 5k with me, more than half of it goes for the above bills. He had also once told me during an argument about the same, that my salary equals to nothing to him meaning it is way less than what he earns. He said it in a way to ridicule me. But still he never lets me keep it. This month I had not transferred the amount to him, told him I want to save it in my bank account and there was big fight after which I had to send it to him. This is the ground reality in many houses sir.

My case is like:

My whole salary account is controlled by my father, I don't have any access to my salary account, I even don't know online account login credentials, atm card nothing he given me. Instead he given me my mom's another bank account atm card and used to give 5k every month.

I am a married person living separately from my parents. Even my rent is paid by my father. My wife is also employee and she earns so groceries and other expenditures are getting paid by her.

When I asked my father that atleast pl give control to my salary account then my parents are denying to give. They are saying that parents should not ask money from children, infact children should ask money from parents.

How should I convence them?
