Here’s the thing that make Trump and Donald’s’ argument moot.
Racial identities were bestowed upon ‘black people’ and others by ‘white’ people.

They jettisoned English, German, French, Irish, etc. national identities of origin to become ‘white’, which denoted superiority, advantage and power subjugation of those they designated as ‘black’ instead of say, Fulani, Carabali, Yoruba, Mandinka, Ibo, etc.

Whites also designated racial identities such as Mulatto, Octoroon, Quadroon, etc. as well as passing laws such as The Black Codes and invented Eugenics.

Therefore, why would Trump even ask black folks about why someone is called black, when it was white people who designated those racial identities, and now complain about so-called “Identity Politics.”

It’s blatherskite, pure and simple.
