Ima put this in Headcanon since TwiddleFinger’s canon:

Nugget encounters evil max(TwiddleFinger’s max the monkey), and attempts to fight it off. In the lyrics, evil max wants nugget so that he can use him for his own gain.

Good ending: Nugget defeats Evil Max and splits both him and Max apart(check some of Max’s new shorts and you’ll see both of them are different characters), the normal Max reunited with Nugget, meanwhile, Evil Max turns into the main antagonist as seen in the shorts.
Bad ending: Nugget gets killed by Evil Max, and Evil Max is so obsessed with Nugget’s corpse that he keeps it to himself, not wanting to even share a single bit of it.
