It's very believable the difference of delivery between a young man starting out, and an older man nearing the end.

The voice of Shaun Evans is amazing, rich and powerful

Shaun Evans voice is mournful as one deeply in connection with your soul in touch with the beauty of the poem. I love the rich voice of this actor; he performs with his voice as Richard Burton and Olivier were able to do. I wish to watch him doing character roles or see his performance in theater on tv. He is indeed a great actor

The VOICE...John Thaw!
And young Endeavour will learn a lot in the days ahead. Indescribably amazing series, all three.

Two amazing actors
Two ways of telling this.
One with heart line who heart is tired. But both truly emotional

Jhon Thaw was the first and the "real" inspector Morse... and "The remorseful day" one of the best episodes...
I always remember him and the poem during sunset...

A brilliant video, comparing the younger and older Morse.

It's was a great shame that John Thaw and Shaun Evans never met each other

I love Shawn Evans ... but there’s just no comparison. Thaw is superb. A class by himself.

Sorry. Shaun wins my vote hands down.
John has a rich voice..but Shaun is like velvet.

I think John Thaw saying it was really poignant because it was so close to the end of Morse’s life.

In California we watch Endeavor faithfully; we love the use of opera to lead us into the stories; however we would like more time of Shaun in front of the camera; he is the one that carries the movie but the times that the camera is for so long on secondary actors takes our focus away from the plot. We are looking forward to season 9!!!

Kit: I am wondering if you have ever done a video of those actors who appeared on any of the Morse trilogy/seasons, either before or after had a their own series or a major part in another series? I am thinking of Michael Kitchen and Honeysuckle Weeks (Foyles War), Nathaniel Parker (Inspector Lynley), Doug Henshall (Shetland), Neil Dudgeon (Midsomer Murders), Rupert Graves (Sherlock), Christopher Timothy, Robert Hardy, Peter Davison (All Creatures, The Last Detective, etc.) among others. Thanks!

I love this series, the only problem is John Thaw was totally grey in his late 20's. They should have greyed his hair in the episodes 1968 or after but endeavour is a magnificent series.
