This is a modular synthesizer performance.  The patch is simple and I play it entirely by hand - no modulation.  Here are my notes:

All sounds extend from a short sample of an Opera from the radio in Arbhar, which passes through Panharmonium, then into QPAS.  The original idea was to process the Low Pass, Band Pass and High Pass outputs from QPAS through different effects to emulate the layered frequencies of flowing water, then mix them back together in Jumble Henge.  In the end, I used only the LP and HP outputs, but otherwise retained the idea.  The LP output retains the large grain size from Arbhar and goes straight to the mixer.  The HP output is routed through Beads, where I pitch it up slightly, shift the Time parameter to give a slight delay/repeat to the sound and play it back with smaller grains at a slightly higher density.  I duplicate this signal and send one copy through Data Bender (to create the dropouts near the end of the song), then to the mixer.  The other copy goes through Nautilus, where I employ all the sensors, the high pass Chroma and Shimmer mode to create even higher, smaller grains.  This also receives some reverb from FX Aid, before going to the mixer.

I progress the song and make transitions by manually navigating the buffer on Arbhar and sweeping the frequency on QPAS, which emphasizes/deemphasizes the various layers. I also turn Panharmonium from fully dry to fully wet and back in the last quarter of the piece to create some droning chaos.
