These guys are ALL hero, to the bone. Going in on iffy orders, dealing with harsh terrain, climate, and knowing the enemy knows exactly where you are but still pushing on to bring home those who gave the ultimate, bringing home the sole survivor, then spending to weeks to assure every other hero comes home. Thank you sir, for doing for those of us that cant.

Thank you to all service members for the sacrifices you and your family have made for the rest of us.

Just wanted to thank everyone involved. The living and the deceased (may they rest in peace) for keeping this country safe and free. As free Americans we take for granted the sacrifices of others. As free Americans we fail to acknowledge that someone volunteered to fight for the lives we have. No matter what your belief is if war is right or wrong, it is our duty as free Americans who didn't volunteer (and I didn't) to be grateful and acknowledge those who did with a simple thanks. There are some that don't need it but there is also some that do. It is my opinion that showing appreciation will show them their sacrifices were worth it and it doesn't cost a thing. A few moments of your time.

Interesting point of view. I just listened to a couple of green berets, one of whitch was the 18 delta that made first contact with Marcus. He said Marcus’s gps was used to locate his teammates as Marcus had dropped a pin at each location he lost contact with each teammate. Clearly it was i credibly chaotic. Green Berets, Seals, Rangers, and Marines all teaming ip to get there and know one knew where there really was. Also didn’t know the state of the seals. Mostly looking for the chopper. I think God kept Marcus alive, I can’t imagine the pain that guy must go through emotionally. Thank God for all you guys! God bless you

The other guys in this man's unit already said that Marcus had marked on his GPS every point he lost contact with a teammate that he was able to give pretty close coordinates to each

Huge appreciation for the whole Red Wings team.

You can see the distaste the Ranger had for luttrell not knowing where his teammates were. The ranger creed has a stanza that goes ‘I will never leave a fallen comrade to fall into the hands of the enemy, and under no circumstances will I ever embarrass my country.’

Also, the interviewers need to stop interrupting the Ranger mid sentence. It was annoying.

Those mountains did suck bad. They would smoke us big time! After a year though, we were like mountain goats

"I'll just deal with it when I hit the ground."

Know that feeling. Now that I am older, I have learned to avoid that feeling.

Wow, I can't even imagine trying to navigate that terrain, especially in the rain, but then having to carry Lt. Murphy and PO Dietz up 800m in panchos. That is absolutely unbelievable, and major respect to these guys. Marcus had so much help getting his ass out of there.

I don't think rangers get enough credit, they will go through anything and win.

Throwing a little shade at Marcus about not having details of the other three’s whereabouts, plus saying “How Marcus says he came down the mountain”…Dang son.

The whole mission was FUBAR.Thinking that a squad was not going to hike up that mountain side undetected was really stupid.
