A friendly advice, do not use olive oil for frying. Olive oil is superb eating it raw. For frying, your best bet is avocado oil. From a Greek man ;)

Long live Queen Victoria!
Just made the naan bread, and this is a touchdown. We used a tortilla press with a couple of silpat mats. We used coconut flour to make the naan manageable. We used bacon grease that we saved up. Next time we might try a griddle and less oil and see how that goes.

Another HOME RUN!
Adding: just now made these. After making a lovely cracker in my maxed-out air fryer I decided to use oil. Heated it up to 375-400F. Rolled naan to 4mm and gently laid it into the oil. This is KEY to a complete puff: immediately begin rapidly basting the top with oil, focusing on any un puffed areas but right away.
My last one is a perfect pita and I’m so happy to have these little gems back!
Thank you Victoria, what a terrific chef!

I've not seen naan made this way. Traditionally I've seen them rolled in an oval shape, put in a pan, dry, like a tortilla- but wet fingertips touch it first, so it sticks, then flip the pan over heat to have gravity create the air pockets toasted by the heat, they are soft, then brushed with garlic butter or ghee and cilantro.
So this recipe is quite interesting.

Chicken Tikka Masala is so delicious and easy! Nothing like naan dipped in tikka sauce. 🤤

One of our missionaries that comes from India made some at our home & eat it just like you would a pc of bread with your meal... also open the inside, stuff it with deli meat, etc to make something like a pita pocket sandwich...however they made it by for, water & salt... then rolled it out very meticulously into a perfect circle & place over gas burner to "puff" as they call it and cook. Because I didn't have gas we used a dry electric griddle... LOVED watching them cook!!

Use this for a side with Mediterranean foods and Indian foods. Also great as a small pizza dough

just fry them as you roll them out so you don't have to cut rounds to lay them on 😋. I would cut those into quarters and serve with a greek salad and homemade tzatziki sauce! Or a rolled sandwich or breakfast burrito. YUM!

Yay! Keto naan! Before I retired I used to make my breakfast to go with Coriander and Herbs Naan from Indianlife. Much like a breakfast burrito, I made a goat cheese omelet and folded it in the naan so I could have a hot breakfast on my commute. I will have to experiment with adding herbs and spices to your recipe.

This looks like real naan! I love Indian Butter Chicken and this would be wonderful for sopping up the sauce. I can hardly wait to try it!
