Tatsuro Yamashita`s career is just...so amazing. His songs are largely reminiscent of a person falling through a portal and ending up in different settings and times. His use of sound is so peculiar to this day and he`s SO UNDERRATED. This song belongs to an album that is by my account, near perfect. I`m not a fan of Igor but it`s nice to see Tyler bringing this song to a more mainstream setting, one way or another.

As a Tatsuro Yamashita fan, I almost crapped my pants when listening to Igor for the first time. I was casual fan of Tyler at the time, and for me, it was like sharing an inside joke with a friend, or seeing a guy walk down the street while wearing a t-shirt making an obscure pop culture reference. As illogical and parasocial as it is, for a brief moment, I felt a connection with Tyler the Creator. It was awesome.
