Amazing video, A friend of mine referred me to a financial adviser sometime ago and we got to talking about investment and money. I started investing with $150k and in the first 2 months, my portfolio was reading $274, 800. Crazy right!, I decided to reinvest my profit and get more interesting. For over a year we have been working together making consistent profit just bought my second home 2 weeks ago and care for my family.

$300K annual income and they only have $400K in their retirement? It sounds like the hard part for them will be reducing their lifestyle during their retirement years.

They're in for a pretty drastic lifestyle change if they have been living off of $300k/yr, but still have a mortgage and only $400k saved for retirement in their early 60s.

This is the time to ramp up investing. Not slow down. I know it doesn’t seem rational, but you can’t argue with math or data.

Her husband makes 250k and doesn’t have an IRA or 401k - no retirement savings vehicle to place his income? That is odd

Yes, buy high, sell low. Lets use our emotions to guide us every aspect of life.

People enjoy buying most things at a discount with the exception of stocks.

What Dave should have touched on was why do they only have $400k in a 401k with a $300k income. He never asked them if they had any other debts etc.
I feel with that income they do not have enough investments to support anywhere near the life style or what ever it is they are wasting their money on.

Love Dave! however, in 2022 S&P 500 has been fallen 20%, the Dow is down nearly 15% and Nasdaq has dropped 29%.

With income of 300k and very little 401k of 400k at 60+ means they probably need to work quite a few more years unless some major life style change/downgrade.

Imagine walking into the store to buy your favorite pair of pants and they just happen to be 20% off. You hold off on buying them until they go back to full price. I don't understand this logic.

Yeah thats awful amount for being in their 60's. Having a million dollar home means nothing unless you sell it, or generate income off it. It would be awesome if things were flipped. 400k home and a million in investments.

When you are thinking of panicking and selling all your stocks it is really time to pick up some extra hours and double down on your investments.

I get it, invest in safe heaven assets cos profit level usually drops in these times, but I cant help but read up and watch articles of people that were still able to pull up heavy profit of up to $580k within a few weeks and I'd like to know how they did it.

My wife and I are late 30s and make $170k per year with the same as her in our retirement accounts. She has all her equity in the house and nothing else in their 60s. Not good planning.

Honestly, your net worth sucks based on your age and income. Where’s all your money going over the past 30 years??

Year to date:
DOW -13%
S&P -18%
NASDAQ -26%
Russell 2000 -24%

Let’s go Brandon!

How can you make $300k a year, be in your 60s, and only have $400k in retirement savings with over $300k left on your mortgage? Sounds like people who drove around in leased BMW’s for the past 30 years.

I see two items that are disturbing. One is only $400k in retirement account. The other is still owing over $300k on a mortgage. Technically millionaire status but in my 60’s, doesn’t feel like that.

Just to drop some facts, as of the publishing this video:
the S&P 500 is down 16%.
The NASDAQ is down 26%.
Dave probably isn’t up to date because he just admitted he hasn’t looked at the retirement portfolio. 😉
