What would you recommend to get the geometry back into after effects? I tracked a scene and used the camera link from AE to make sure my models matched in maya so its tracked nicely. Should I batch render the scene and composite it back into AE?

you said at the end that iw as useful as a VFX tool... but didn't give any examples. How would you use this? I have no idea.
