How to Connect Nintendo Switch Oled to a TV - tutorial | manual

Open the back cover of the Nintendo Switch Dock.
Connect the USB plug from the Nintendo Switch AC adapter (model No. HAC-002) into the top terminal of the dock labeled "AC ADAPTER," then connect the other end of the AC adapter to a wall outlet.
Connect one end of the HDMI cable into the bottom terminal of the dock labeled "HDMI OUT," then connect the other end into an HDMI port on your television or monitor.
Close the back cover of the Nintendo Switch dock.
Remove the left and right Joy-Con controllers from the console.
Position the console so that the LCD screen faces in the same direction as the front panel on the dock, then insert the console into the dock.
While the console is docked, the LCD screen will shut off.
Turn the TV set on, and select the correct HDMI input.

Super, super helpful. Had no clue that the adapter had to be plugged in as well for the switch to work on the TV. That information was vital and now my son's switch is connected and working after trying to connect it so many times. Thank you.

do we have to buy the switch dock separately or does it come with the oled model ?

in tv mode, once the switch fully charges can you take out the wall adapter or does it always have to be plugged in

So, graphically the OLED switch will still look good on a non OLED tv?

I tried hooking it up to a smart tv and the graphics were not very vibrant. They were faded in color.

My son has a oled switch, I’ve decided to try connect it to the tv and it’s not working whatsoever, I’ve tried 4 different tvs, using hdmi cable that came with it and others and the suppled mains.
When I insert the switch into the dock the screen goes off but nothing comes on the tv at all and I’ve tried 4 TVs.
I’ve holded the power for 15 seconds and turned it and on, I’ve reset the switch also and still the same. Really frustrating me

You get a thumbs up because it took only around 5 mins. to say what needed to be said. Other videos were 10 mins or longer saying the exact same thing. I turned from them and care here.
