hello everyone <3 in the video, i mentioned that i didn’t choose to use wool due to some brands participating in mulesing their sheep for the wool, which is harmful to the sheep. I just want to be clear that I know that acrylic is synthetic and is harmful for the environment and i will eventually make the change to better alternatives like organic cotton, bamboo, and wool yarn — that is produced from companies that actually take care of their animals.

here is a great article that I would suggest reading to understand my point of view :

I truly care about the welfare of animals and I do think there is a way to find a middle ground by doing research to find companies and small businesses that make an effort to sell sustainable yarn while making sure the animals aren’t harmed in the process <3 i hope you can all understand— i care a lot about the planet and I’m doing my best to become more sustainable with how I shop and what products I use within my every day life. I’ve been doing research on fast fashion and ethical fashion shops to shop from and have been figuring out how to start shopping for clothes more sustainably as well. I know i’m going to make mistakes here and there but I know it’s a learning process and I shouldn’t be too hard on myself when I do make mistakes. I’ve been feeling guilty the past couple of days using acrylic yarn in this video, but I know that it’s okay for me to use it at the moment since it’s all I have and I don’t want to just waste it. And when i’m able to afford to purchase the ethical wool and organic cotton consistently whenever I want to crochet (which will probably be all the time) — I will 100% make the jump.

thank you for understanding!!

TIP: If you're wondering how to get rid of the icky holes in your stitches, I recommend going against what you were originally told to do... "Yarn over" ew, try "yarn under" it gives a cleaner look and doesn't finish with a "holey" stitch. I hope this helps anyone who didn't know <3

Your full crochet outfit videos made me want to make one and I’m almost 60 hours into the project, then I click this video and hear “I heard you want to make a patchwork cardigan” and get excited because I am following your first cardigan video for the instructions and this will make it so much easier 😌

Its taken me all of the half term but ive finally made Its the cutest most cozy thing ive made so far and i am so happy with it! Its a really good pattern that is definitely suitable for anyone, whether people have only just started crochet or have been doing it for years. I’ve been wanting to crochet tanjiro’s kimono since I started reading the manga years ago. I’ve never attempted a project bigger than a beanie before but the recent season’s release has inspired me to get started, hence why I am watching patchwork tutorials on YouTube. I never could have guessed how directly applicable some of what you said in this video would be when I clicked on it lmao. Best tutorial by far, and I’m hyped to see the project you teased

I used to hate weaving my ends until I started using a metal tapestry needle instead. I'm telling you it was a game changer! It is so much smoother of a process and weirdly I kinda almost like doing it now. Almost lol. They are like $2 for a pack of 6 from DMC. You find them with the sewing needles normally

Thank you so much for taking the time AND CARE for providing such a detailed breakdown for how to crochet a patchwork cardigan. I stumbled across your video a year ago and just completed my very first cardigan. The way you organized each step with coordinating visuals was so insightful, and also just your approach to video has made this process so comforting. Thank you!!!!

Omg this tutorial was so in depth, I made a cardigan like this nd when I finished they had so many mistakes and I was confused. When I just saw yours I understood way more and took into consideration different things In the beginning that I never really thought about with my other cardigan. This was such a big help and I’ll make a new one soon with your tutorial tysm!!

Thank you for teaching the single crochet, half double crochet and double crochet so thoroughly. I haven't been able to find anyone who teaches it slowly and shows it well throughout the process. I was actually able to learn, so thank you a whole lot!

Thank you so much, I just finished it today. It took me soooo much time (like 7 months lol but sometimes I wasn't motivated at all and just let it there and didn't touch it for several weeks) but the result turned out amazing ! Your explanations are so detailled and clear, everything was easy to understand and to do. Again thank you for making this video, now I have a nice patchwork cardigan I did myself💕
