“Overcame”? How about “Demolished”! Angie crushed Williams playing her usual style of strong counterpunching defense, exposing Williams as a mere servebot. This outcome was really never in doubt, as Williams path to the finals was an extremely easy one. When Williams finally had to face a top 10 opponent on a day when her servebotting wasn’t up to par, her many flaws were finally exposed, and she was defeated quite easily/handily by Queen Angie.

She'd never admit it but that was easy work for Angie. Most of the top 10 would've put Seroida away.

Wimbledon channel insists on not showing the highlights however, i watched almost entire game and as someone who rooted for Angie i could easily say that the score was absolutely deceptive!

The first set was truly challenging. i saw how the game sort of broke after 3-3. Serena did try to turn it aside however, Angie
seemed to return almost any big serve Serena executed while Serena's returns fell short plenty of times. The game
was not that easy as the score. The game could have gone other way if Serena had achieved to carry it to 5-4.

She won the Australian Open against her too and it was just magic, I have anxiety disorder and I was having a hard time when the final was on. I never liked Serena, I thought she had a bad attitude and like her sister made the game boring with their cinstant dominance so when I suddenly saw this German woman taking it to her I was cheering her desperately in every point. Angelique will never know but she helped me with my own struggle that match and became my heroine as someone who refused to give up against the tennis beheamoth that Serena was at the time.

I predicted Kerber would win the ladies final. When I 1st saw her play a while ago now, I thought wow this girl is going to be a great player . Added bonus she's left handed . All the best people are 🎾😉

I think the key was Kerber didn't beat herself. For Serena to win, she needed to hit clean winners.
