Jason Mraz is the longest relationship I've ever had.

I first saw Jason at a coffee shop on Sunset Boulevard in 2001, no one was really paying attention to him and Toca, but I was awed by his voice and songwriting. I talked to him after the show while he was smoking a cigarette to see if I could buy a CD, he said he didn't have any, but I got his email and he sent me some dates he was playing in San Diego. I went to see him at Java Joe's, where he already had a following, it was pretty magical. I was lucky enough to see him a few other times there. The "live and acoustic" is still one of my favorite albums, I gave that album to so may people and said "You gotta hear this guy!". it's great to see him still doing his thing!

Discovered "Waiting For My Rocket To Come" back in high school and he's been my favorite artist ever since.  Shortly after that, I discovered "Selections For a Friend" and "Mr. A-Z".  He's got a great heart, great soul, and makes some great music!

My favorite song is on Waiting for My Rocket To Come. Who Needs Shelter got me through some heavy shit. I was able to find some comfort in it when comfort was very hard to find. I'm in a much better place now but I still listen to Who Needs Shelter when I need a pick me up. It's like a warm music hug.
