I think this plain, non extravagant car will be a real hit with the normies. It just does the job with no fanfare.
The over the top eco styling found on other cars can be a real turn off, so I think Vauxhall / Opel have nailed it with this little beast.

EVs seem to be taking off finally. The number of available models is growing so fast, it's becoming hard to remember them all and that is awesome!
That means they are truly on the way of becoming mainstream and not just in places like Norway. :)
For years it used to be Tesla and one or two others, not anymore.

Opel/Vauxhall bought by PSA. So here, same platform, engine and battery as it is for the Peugeot 208 & 2008, and also DS3 Crossback. 😀

thx Bjorn! it comes with a heatpump in all models, ACC is an Option. Range and charging should be fine for this price class.

Björn, when you test headroom in the front seat, do you lower the seat to its lowest setting first? Most front seats are vertically adjustable.

French cars have fuel filler cap mostly at the left side and exhaust at the right. It is interesting Opel built a Vauxhall version for right-hand driving.


I like the new Corsa. 100kW motor, 50kWh battery, 11kW AC / 100kW DC -> 0-100km/h 8, 1s, well outfitted for some 35.000EUR - not too bad.

Looking at the badge it appears that you were looking at a pre-production Vauxhall with the steering wheel on the wrong side. That may also be the reason that the DC port didn't have a cover as yet.

It looks nice. It's the same base platform as the new Peugeot 208, which makes this similar to the e-208.
This is a B segment electric car, so there's always be limitations for size and some quality. Nevertheless, not even in C segment the quality of the door top panels is of soft materials in the majority of the cars.

Bjørn is going to be incrdible busy testing EVs in 2020 and 2021. Just think of it. VAG alone is going to deploy more than 70 different models on the MEB platform.
