Manolis Garalis, Lemnos Island, Greece, Borderless Wine Part I

Показать описание
Lemnos is well off of the beaten path. It is one of the most geometric, lava-formed, landscapes on earth and where wine is sculpted by nature. On this northern Aegean Island, the landscape gives hints into the subterranean power that was created by a Volcano millenia ago. Manolis Garalis is a small winemaker and farmer on the island, who is not only looking to make wine emdemic Limnio grapes, stone sculpted Muscat, but also unearthing a near forgotten tradition of 'gouves' - 11th Century wine aging vessels carved directly into the earth. These are traditions that are being preserved and helping agricultural economies work towards positions of strength all while preserving unbelievable histories. Buying these natural wines support their efforts.
