Thank you for the detail in explaining everything.  Leaves me with a vast understanding of investing with no questions to ask.  Keep the videos coming.

Another angle for the super long term. Big sets have been rereleased which can lower the value of the originals. I got lucky and sold the Taj Mahal about a year before the announcement. The black seas baricuda is another example. Personally I prefer medium sets. Great videos

I like big sets and usually only buy what I would like to build and put on display if they do not perform as thought. So I only buy one box, maybe two if I want to keep one anyway. And this is maybe a hand full of UCS sets.
I prefer big MOCs over original sets, so I mainly use the originals to finance my MOC addiction :) Furthermore I prefer to ride my MTB in my free tine rather then sorting and shipping small boxes.

I see no problem with investing in Lego as everyone gets the chance to buy them when they are in stores for the original price or even on sale with a decent discount. If they miss it they might have to pay a higher price. That is what ppl. are also doing with Wine, Whisky etc.

Great video as always.  Funnily enough, I scratched my head when you said the 12 days of Christmas runs through January.  I've always grown up with the 12 days of Christmas as running up to Christmas with the 25th of December being the final day.  It turns out my family has been completely wrong.

Got started when I was volunteering at the powerhouse museum Sydney. They had a lego shop there for the star wars exhibition and I found UCS blockade runners for half price. A quick call to mum and she has put several thousand dollars in my account and said she would drive down and help me carry them home. Sold a dozen in 3 weeks for full price, doubling our money. I still have a mint sticker set for my own one in a book somewhere (I kept one to play with obviously :D). Been buying the high value sets in sales and selling them ever since, its a fun hobby.

I really like your video, I made sure to Sub. I came back to LEGO December 2016 and have learned so much (beyond enjoying the build). I really like you story. I've mostly been buying SW Sets to build, but I have also been getting two of certain small sets (and special give aways - open one, save the other). I am limited in space so I am investing slowly. I'll be looking at more of your videos as I enjoy the information you provide...its different than the other LEGO channels.

i really have never owned LEGO as a hobby, as a kid i always bought legos and never built them or did anything with them (Maybe i was just too dumb?) I only played with the figurines.

Now, as a full grown adult with a CHILD, I am finding myself interested in Lego's again.

This time to actually collect and create things with them. Was thinking STAR WARS as it was what i was into specifically as a kid (Even played all the games) but are there other cool things in LEGO to own as well? As a huge fan of comics i've been thinking maybe DC universe or MARVEL would be cool to buy instead of the STAR WARS IP. Also the 'Lego CITY' theme seems interesting to me as you can make it look the most like a regular place.

God bless though and thank you for videos like these!

You do not drop those little boxes as if they're not a collectible! You just lost money.

Great video, but please don't say "Legos".

People like you don't deserve to be called Lego fans . Lego sets are meant to be built and enjoy by true fans. Not to be kept in a basement geting dusted just to fill the gap of your childhood.
