And that why we called him the special one

Kids who weren't watching footy back then will never understand how invincible Barcelona seemed back then. Even the might of Fergie's United were brushed aside. How Jose managed to not only survive but win against that superteam is immensely impressive.

Mourinho running around the pitch of Camp Nou celebrating, aggravating the crowd (and Valdés) was iconic. Truly one of the most memorable UCL moments.

If there was ever an expert in resurrecting or bringing clubs to the promise land it’s him

That semi final is one of the greatest ties ever. No last minute goals or high scoring games but the sheer tactical battle and the amazing stories behind it.

Lucio and Samuel. Enough said, if you get it, you get it.

Not a Jose fan but that celebration after the Barca win was 🥶🥶🥶🥶

Also Diego milito was a absolute monster that second goal in the final 💦💦

I watched almost every Inter game that season. Folks don’t know how good that team was. They didn’t stop Pep’s Barcelona by accident. They took them to tactical war and beat them with a man down 💪🏅

Watching this again in 2024 reminded me of what Don Carlo's Real Madrid did to Pep's Man City in UCL Quarter Final. City won the treble last year and they were the strongest team in the UCL. But Madrid killed them on PENALTIES AT HOME.

That was a team to watch. Full of gusto

I recall JM sprinting onto the pitch following the win over Barcelona.

Would it be possible to get an insight into Ancelotti's time at Chelsea, especially in 2009/10? There's next to nothing online about it, and his system was quite unique to England at the time, either using the 41212 or 4321 with a narrow trio of forwards, winning three trophies in his first season.

It was a mini era (from about 2008 onwards) where Chelsea started moves increasingly closer to their goal, and yet the 09/10 side was also the most direct in the Abramovich era.

He does things that No one But The Special One can do.
