The price tag is neat! And it sounds good! Quality wise it's not that far from my Elgato Wave 3, which does not include shock mount or pop filter... Again for that price I'd recommend it to someone who's just starting as streamer or any content creator who needs to record audio, or someone who does stream just as a hobby. The type of persons that'd need a mic but do not necessarily have the budget for a 200 mic.
I share your concern about the sound nob managing two things that would be better separated (monitoring volume and stream volume, kinda).
I've seen lower quality microphones at that price tag, actually my first one was that price tag and the sound quality wasn't that great at all, sadly, which led me to save for the Wave 3 that I use for now more than one year and really happy with it.
