Have we already forgotten that Kokomi was meant to be an on-field DPS anyway? Prior to Dendro, most of her teams revolved around Kokomi being the character on-field.

Hoyo proceeds to give Albedo a limited 4* signature weapon that not only is the BiS for him, but also fits in well with his overall aesthetic.

ZhongLi was initially designed to be an on field carry, but since it became identical to Noelle, they changed it to become an off field shielder but didn't change the weapon.

Albedo just like Klee never had a signature. The three weapons he was paired with was just coincidence.

Kokomi can very easily be ran as an on field driver. In fact, that was how she was designed based on the weapon and how clam worked. Since Kokomi in her ult heals all party members when doing NA and CA, it charges the bubble and make it explode. This was how she was intended to be used, but it ended up that she is generally speaking better off field than on field.

The way kokomi and zhongli’s weapons work is to make them dps or sub dps. Tbh the only one that doesn’t make sense is albedo’s since he scales with defense

Kokomi’s weapon fits her perfectly and she heals in her burst where you need her to be on field so her weapon makes total sense. Zhongli’s… not so much 😕

Kokomi tho I'd argue about how you play with her

Looking at the kit she was given, it seems like she's an unusual main dps/sub dps when main one is on cooldown/driver

The reason why i think so is because:
- Second unlockable passive increasing normal attack damage by healing bonus stat.
- her burst increasing normal attack damage
- her burst being basically the same as xiao.
- her " signature " artifact set doesn't restrict this playstyle of main dps.
- her "signature" weapon increasing normal attack damage.
- her ascension stat being hydro damage bonus

But this playstyle of main dps was quickly neglected by community and even hoyoverse further advertised as healer rather than dps because hp scalings on burst are awful which doesn't even let her compete even with medium-geared mona in the same role
