A WW2 FPS shooter will not sell to the masses which is why we probably wont see one from DICE as a major release. EA as a company is struggling and needs it's games to sell well, so it cannot afford to make an FPS WW2 game if there is no guarantee it will sell well.

But just think of the possibilities we could have with a WW2 Battlefield in the Frostbite 2-engine... Then again, yes I know it's a safe bet with the modern day shooter. Thought it's only a matter of time before it gets old for real.

you know, just for a second I happily thought that was a WW2 tank. That would be a nice change of things back to the good old. But nope, more Modern Warfield. Nobody knows better how to milk the cows than EA.

bad company wasn't really battlefield in a sense but of the most recent games, bc2 was the better of them(i still find bc1 more fun)

but the last true battlefield game was bf2

ugh no thanks. i was a fan of bf2 but bf3 was a huge let down for me. probably going to skip this one
