Commands:

!Unzip the rockyou file:
sudo gzip -d rockyou.txt.gz

!Copy the rockyou file to your home dictory:
cd
cp rockyou.txt

!See length of rockyou file
wc -l rockyou.txt

!Only keep passwords that are 8 to 63 characters in length
sudo grep -x '.\{8, 63\}' rockyou.txt > wparockyou.txt
wc -l wparockyou.txt

I have been using the grep command for years but I learned something new today. I did not know you could use grep to pull out words between 8 and 63 characters as you demonstrated. Love your videos hope you keep them coming.

And that's crazy ultimate compression and fast response from grep all because of crypto-gpu-miners - everything of it really really easy for computers. I think now "secure" passwords begins from 20-30+ symbols and more - so it's unreal to remember all of them. If I'm protecting "nothing' - I'm taking care of recovery scripts / images, not passwords. Only personal captcha asking you "choose every photo which has you (when you was 5 y.o.)" looks like a protection))) Thank you!
