Jason, thank you for this video. I do believe that's what happened to my monitor. I plugged in my SC, pushed both of the red breakers on the power supply, on the monitor a blue dot went up to the top and then exploded. My monitor doesn't come on anymore. My motherboard is good. So is my power supply.

I've always tested diodes using ohms. Since they're biased, they should read very high resistance, infinite sometimes. Thanks for the lessons. Love these classic vector games BTW. Good stuff!!

I had a Space Wars cinematronics 1977 model have the screen go wobbly and bang! I disconnected the monitor section, and the game still came up okay, I could get the coin mech to work and hear all the correct sounds. I replaced the deflection transistors, and also the 2n2102 transistors. I powered iit back up, got weed noise and just a centre spot. When I checked the monitor board again, I had put one of the 2N2102 transistors in the wrong way around. Now the when I power up without the monitor, I get no sound and the coin mech doesn't tick the counter over. I'm worried I've blown the CCPU board. Where should I check next. Voltages are good from the supply.

ARCADE JASON, can you show in a video explaining the DIfferences between a Raster arcade monitor compared to a Vector arcade monitor, what are the differences in the circuits and differences in the signals it uses please. A vector monitor DOES NOT use V&H sync hold circuit, any reasons why?

i like how u show the repair steps, u seem to be very experienced and knowledgeable. i have a 27" wg d9200 the picture shakes left and right a half inch for the first ten minutes then the shake goes away. do you have a suggestion of what part might be failing? i plan to install a cap kit soon. thanks

Hi. It appears on my asteroids monitor when it warms up... i see a white dot with a cir le around it. Like a bulls eye.. you ever see that on the black and white monitors

How could that transistor actual be working (ie not a problem) if it's missing a leg!?
