I imagine Manaphy and Phione will be released before Arceus. In fact, there isn’t even a blank space for Arceus in the Pokédex in Pokémon Go. If you were to get Manaphy and Phione, you could get a Platinum Medal for catching all the Gen IV Pokémon without getting Arceus.

While this just might be me being an elitist, I think Arceus should be hard to get. Maybe when they raise the level cap, those who’ve reached level 50 will get Special Research that’ll get you Arceus. Or if Niantic wanted to make it really hard (and unfair), make Arceus only available in EX Raids that only Level 50 players can do.

The masterwork research will be for shaymin. Arceus might release during the tour (I expect go fest) but i highly highly doubt the shiny will.

Idk because next year with the Unova tour there are not 1, not 2, but 3 mythicals that have never been officially released with their shinies: Victini, Meloetta, & Keldeo. Victini was actually the first shiny locked pokemon in the tradition sense back in Black & White so nowadays whenever you're playing a game with shiny locked pokemon you have Victini to thank for it because it started the trend in the main series. They've been shiny locked for 13 years now which is insane. It would be pretty weird for TPC to allow Niantic to release these shinies through pokemon Go. TPC wants mythocals to be rare which is why Niantic (Other than things like Deoxys or Darkrai) usually only allow 1 or 2 of a mythical per account to keep them rare. I guess we'll see if they release Shiny Phione, Manaphy, & Arceus during this tour but even if they do the waaay more interesting thing will be to see whether they do it next year for 3 pokemon that have never been legitimately obtainable shiny...

Funnily enough, shiny Arceus is the only mythical Pokemon that can be acquired outside of a timed event that isn’t shiny locked. Shiny Manaphy would probably be much bigger news.
