This is probably the final boss in a Sonic game I've replayed the most and this scene never gets old. And GBA guitar solos are epic

I hate to say it, but the animation to the left is better IMO - it fits the dire situation, movement feels more impactful, and there are even details in the Sprite version like the puffs of smoke as they’re falling that give it more oomph.

The animation to the right’s definitely got smoother animation, and even better lighting, but it’s almost moving too smoothly - it’s rather slow in comparison to the other animation.

I like the original more, it looks like he’s trying to stop the capsule and slow it down, in the animation it looks like he’s hanging out with it
