This is seriously short-sighted. It's totally normal to feel.bad when your actioms cause loss of any kind, however, the security SHOULD HAVE gotten fired. What if Jidion was secretly a mass shooter? Or an estranged ex? They didnt check credentials. Gatorade could have done worse than fire them. I wouldnt have agreed with either extreme personally, but you cant heat yourself up for something they did to themselves. If they worked there for years, part of their job is also knowing everyone cleared to come in.

The security guards paid for this reason, to prevent any unauthorized person enter the building. They failed to do so. The dude did what he did for a prank. It could be someone else with bad intentions in his place that could cause millions of damage to the company

Taking accountable is amazing but at the same time it was their job to ensure all proper channels were followed. I worked in security and had to verify everyone no matter what.

Honestly as a previous security guard its our responsibility to make sure anyone who isn't supposed to be there isnt. If it was that easy to just walk in it's probably for the best they are gone. Imagine if this wasnt a prank but an ex-employee, or a crazy dangerous ex partner. Someone or numerous people could have died.
