That was crushed but was it really 504 ft? I've seen home runs hit further in that park and it doesn't look like a 500 ft home run. It was more like 460 ft.

I was at that game and right before he hit that I said to the people sitting next to me I would like to see this guy hit zone homerun and then he did!

While this is an absolute bomb I think the one Piazza hit to the same spot off Darren Holmes was even more impressive. It was much higher and went several rows further back, but because it wasn’t hit on a line like Stanton’s its “official” length measurement technically wasn’t as far. Regardless, of the two Piazza’s was more impressive to me. You should watch that one next. It was one of the farthest balls ever hit.
