Sir, for the 2nd subdivision, if a*b is binary on Q\{1}, then for all a, b belongs to Q\{1}, a*b also belongs to Q/{1} but when we take a=b (eg a=b=2), a*b=1 which doesn't belong to Q\{1}. The answer should be there * is not binary on any non-empty set. Can you explain this part, sir?
