This video zooms in from a view of the Milky Way to the planetary nebula ESO 577-24. ESO’s Very Large Telescope captured this shell of glowing ionised gas — the last breath of the dying star whose simmering remains are visible at the heart of this image. As the gaseous shell of this planetary nebula expands and grows dimmer, it will slowly disappear from the sight of even ESO’s powerful telescopes.

do i see some gravitational lensing taking place there? It looks like 2 objects are lensed on the upper side. Or is it just their orientation and distance which makes it look like that?

So we look deep in every corner of the universe and this is all we keep seeing.. stars and more stars.. what a limited view we have.. coz I really wanna know what lies beyond, way beyond these most distant galaxies.. I just wanna know the truth.. I really do.. what's really going on ? Why does all this stuff exist ?
