That's incredibly simple! in my barn i'm building i unfortunately didn't have enough room for redstone, so i'm happy that there's a solution as simple as this to hold horses. thanks man!

You can also use railroad tracks, although slightly more expensive I find them incredibly more flexible without and design seeing as you can see blocks through them. Works since mobs are afraid of tracks, don't even need the top block :)

xisumavoid How did you do those slabs on the roof, as well as the roof design?  I was easily able to copy your wall design, and even made the aesthetic addition of making the floor out of hay bales, which came in 1.6.

Pathfinding for mobs has changed in 1.13, so this no longer works. There is, however, a fix.

Remove the three slabs on the ground and simply put two fences on each side, like this screenshot:

I imagine what's happening here is that the horse detects both fence posts as solid blocks (seeing only the single empty space in the center) and determines it cannot move beyond. You can ride it out just fine, though.

2019 n0w, Bedrock 1.13.1 version... and the horse can go freely in and out the stables. Did I do something wrong or the game rules regarding horses have changed?

I take half a heart of suffocation damage while inside the stable when i dismount. any fix?

Does this trick work against zombies and other 2 high monsters aswell? If so, it is a great door :D
