If any of yall dont know, this song is amala's(doja cat)suicide note. (self-harm, drug addiction, depression, etc) . where it says "When I mutter in my sleep, i say mother never weep" that is when amala expresses her love for her mother. her mom raised her and her brother as a single parent and thats why amala loves her very much. "Better luck next time" is repeated many times, as in losing a gamble. "This Hennessey is cursed" is where she shows her alcohol addiction. "God told me cat dont mess witn the past tense" amala has no more hope left but to turn to god (not as in suicide)
