Drilling fluid preparation on AVS-150 GlobeCore
Показать описание
A drilling fluid can be prepared centrally (on a drilling mud plant) or directly on a drilling rig. The first case is typical for a long-term drilling of large deposits and close proximity of drilling rigs, requiring the same drilling fluid or fluid with similar parameters. The second option is advisable for scattered drilling rigs with difficulty of delivering a ready solution to them.
The technology of drilling fluid preparation involves mixing the clay and water by actively stirring with agitators. The solution characteristics are improved with special reagents which affect their viscosity and density. However, the existing drilling fluid preparation equipment has a long stirring time. To intensify this process, GlobeCore offers a special fluid preparation equipment AVS, that mixes fluids with the help of ferromagnetic particles. In an operating chamber of AVS the intensive mixing and dispersing of components, acoustic and electromagnetic treatment and high local pressure help to accelerate drilling fluid preparation.
During the last experiment the drilling fluid was achieved on a base of hydrocarbon composition (diesel with a density of 835 kg / m3), industrial water, Emultal (20 l / m3), lime (20 kg/m3), organophilic clay (12 kg/m3), halite (90 kg/m3).
The resulting solution was tested with a viscometer for plastic viscosity, with a filter press for filtration, with an electrical stability meter for electrostatic stability, and with an aerometer for density. Also the solution plastering properties were checked (pressure of 7 atm for 30 minutes).
The test result showed the following parameters:
- plastic viscosity - 11 Cn;
- filtration - 3.8 cm3;
- electrical stability - 429 V;
- density - 940 kg/m3.
The process of obtaining a drilling fluid used in drilling boreholes takes 2.5-5 minutes. The productivity of an AVS-150 unit is 2- 2.5 m3/h.
