First of all, thank you Sunil Chhetri for all that you've done for Indian football. Absolute legend of the game.

Credit to the Kolkata crowd, came in numbers and were absolutely fantastic yesterday.


But that was an absolute shambles of a game. First of all, the lineup was terrible. We were already lacking height in our team, why not play Jeakson Singh? He could have helped in winning the aerial duels. Our midfield was absolutely dominated today. We can't even get the basics right in terms of passing.

We got an open header which Anwar Ali missed and a one on one situation which Rahim Ali messed up. We have to take these opportunities if we want to win games. Also, don't we have any creativity in our set piece routines? Just whip the ball in and pray, that's the only thing we did from the abundance of set pieces we had. What have we hired a set piece coach for?

It was mentioned that India had a one month long camp ahead of this, and this garbage is what comes out of it? Sack this fraud of a coach, no tactics, terrible substitutions. Also, Edmund is an I-League player and he played better than any other outfield player on the pitch. That tells you volumes about Indian football. The whole football system in this country is rotten from the core and we need to fix it for the next world cup qualifiers.

Anwar Ali gave away a clear penalty at the end as well, thankfully the referee was blind. We should have lost that game. If we won the games vs Afghanistan it would have been a much better position for us. That makes it hurt even more. Those games set our progress in football back another 4 years.

Hopefully we can somehow get a result vs Qatar and everything else goes our way. I can't believe we're in this position.
