I'm a computer programmer, and I can say I have a much more relaxed life than her...and that's cos I don't have a job.

Watched this video at 20k views and it motivated me to be a SE.
Landed my first job in 2018 as a Junior Dev.
3 years later I got a new job as a Full Stack Dev with my salary doubled.
To anyone who wants to get in the field: keep motivated & stay focused!

For all programmers around the world, don't forget to drink a glass of water and keep your health up.

Anyone wanna talk about the missing part? I mean where's the moment where you be crying because the code won't work 😂

This video is actually pretty accurate. Working on code is 30% of the whole work day. The rest of it is discussing with your teammates (over lunch or whatever) about the work progress, new ideas, helping with issues, news in the domain etc. And this is what actually keeps everything going.

i be like: i wake up, i took my car to the college, spend 10 minutes coding and 30 hours to find out what tent wrong, then i give up and spend the rest of my time watching cats on the internet

First time I watched the video I was still at uni and this kind of work life was nothing but a dream for me. Today I actually made it into software and this video reminds me to be grateful for that. Wouldn't have believed it back then.

a day in the life of a software developer:
2 hours coding
22 hours eating, drinking and sleeping

90% procrastination
5% wanking
4% eating
1% actual coding

Love the workspace decor in the office. All the instruments and art. So fitting/inspiring.

I'm actually amazed at how people are hating on this video because of how "easy" it looks at her job meanwhile for all we know she could've chose a day out if her schedule that wasn't as busy to film this video. It's also funny how just because you've seen one video about her job that means you know what she does at her job all the time.
