Awwww… I have crocheted for 25 years. It’s been a hidden skill I do for myself. This year I crocheted 25 pumpkins for decor all unique in color, yarn and stitch. My friends came over for a dinner party and one by one asked if they could keep some from their place setting. By the end of the night I had 5 left. I cried that they loved these personal, hand-made items enough to want them in their homes. I think they were shocked I could make these. I’ll never hide my crochet skills again. Sure I’m in my 30’s and it’s kind of an old craft, but it’s beautiful no matter your age. Thanks for showing that little girl, her skills are appreciated.

I just love this. You remind me of all the awesome bits of my job, Ms Chang! A little girl ran up and gave me a tiny, wooden star today. She is three years old and said 'I found this tiny, little star and brought it from my home for you.' It really is the best job ever when you stop and think about it. ❤

But, you have me in tears going down memory lane with the teachers who validated me the way you did that sweet student who made the necklace. You are a treasure! 10/10!! The best gifts I have received from my students are the ones they made. One student last year made me a book for Teacher Appreciation Week of all the things she and I did together, including her seeing me in our city's St. Patrick's Day parade and waving to her and calling her name! It was so sweet!! I will forever treasure the drawings and their attempts at their names (I teach preschool) and, yes, even the index cards that have glitter glued on them. Love your necklace! That young lady will forever remember when her teacher wore her gift because she liked it. 🥰

Aw so sweet! My neice made me a bracelet with these little rubber bands and I hadn't worn it in a while because I was afraid of breaking it and randomly put it on one day when I knew I was going to see her and she noticed immediately and was so happy! Homemade gifts made from the heart are the best❤
