In my school, we have a math teacher that is really cool about using your own method

If you found other way to solve the question, he would ask you how you did it, then explain to all class how you did and how smart you are from find other ways to solve a question:
"There is many methods to solve a question, you find some more easy, others find others easy, just do the one you feel more comfortable"
