Listening to this song being sung by you is helping me, a 31 year old male, deal with my alcoholic parents disappointing me yet another night. Their lies about change only to drink every other day yet again, causing more trouble and blaming everyone but themselves. My father used to be my rock when my abusive mother would torture me and my little brother, now he is slowly turning into her due to abuse of alcohol, complaining we dare to speak against their choices and try to help. So, thank you for coming in clutch, I guess I will be okay.

A beautiful cover of such a heartbreaking but relatable song!

And as someone who's been through a similar situation as Octavia and has her as one of my favorite characters because of it, I have nothing but sympathy for her in regards to her situation and her feelings about it. Even without Stella and Adrealphus hovering over her, she's still a teenager going through one of the most difficult things a kid can go through all alone, as well as reeling from the fact that the parent she was clearly the closest to having no problem throwing his life away for the person he promised he wouldn't leave her for. She needs a safe outlet to express her feelings before anything else.
