This was more inspiring than I would have thought. I'm currently experimenting with voicings just trying to expand that vocabulary so that it shows up more reliably in my playing. Playing around with inverting each hand is something I've started doing on my own already, but this offered more direction with that and maybe even permission. Thanks!

Understanding the two meanings of "voicings" was very instructive to me. I can now go ahead and experiment!

Nice to see you take the guard rails off a little and experiment in this video, with interesting results!

I like it !
The interlocking hands gives it a dirtier/gritier edge.
Jazz music progresses via experimentation.

You're probably familiar with Ravel's Sonatine that uses these hand-over-hand techniques in various ways, breaking up the chords and essentially drumming. I believe Bill Evans gleaned some of his voicings from Ravel, by the way. I like your experimental approach of inverting until the hands wind up on top of each other (very Ravel, that). Taken even farther, you could have the hands emerge on opposite sides, with the left to the right and the right to the left. I better go try some of this out. Thanks for the inspiration!

My favorite science experiment was my brother's first grade school project: "Coke or Sprite?" I believe Sprite won the poll
