I prefer direct steering, you will find when you start going faster you not get the bike to turn especially with a weighted front wheel.
Good starting point though to keep it standard when you are learning 👍🏻

You need the oval washers on the gear box mounts to stop it moving after a tumble or gearbox moves back chain comes off and destroys the gears.

The best mod for these bikes is to use those tires, your going in the right direction, we don’t run any weight in the front wheel just the ZH hard inserts and no crash bars as they break the frame, you don’t need them with brushless, that bike with that motor and pinion must be hard sor to keep upright going so slow, try sensored brushless they are so smooth and fast 👍🏻

Is anything needed with the kit, what i mean is does the kit come with everything i need to use it or do i need to get a controller, servo etc to get it to run and the kit is just the bike and rider no electronics?

I've got about 25 of these.At least 7 brand new in the box(Including the earlier models).I have about 25 Kyosho, Graupner, kraft (they was always changing the brand name).A massive box full of brand new alloy spares.Then a load more rc motorcycles.

Any mods you did with the stock swing arms? I find the rear suspension travel on mine very limited.

Hi, i am rebuilding my bike also... run in too many problems... do you need to trim steering servo slightly to make the bike run in straight line?

Another question my friend. I learned from an Admin in another group that we should have different front weights depending on the course. Heavy for tight spaces and light for wide fast tracks.. Is that the same case for you?

Did you remove the small molded bump stops on the swing arm? I see yours has longer rear suspension stroke than mine.
I wonder if those were there to protect the chain (over-tensioning), or because Kyosho doesn't want you to run this on anything but billiard pool smooth tracks?

I'm surprised you don't have videos on the Promoto MX, I feel it's one of the coolest RC things to come about in some time - though I know very little about RC bikes at all lol.
