I have spent most of my early 20s dealing with mental illness.
I remember stopped doing things I liked.
Im 25 now and trying to gather myself to the best I can.
Biking and Swimming sounds so good right about now

10:15 be kind to your parents.
It may not apply to everyone. Some might have lost theirs already, some have abusive toxic parents who don't value their kids etc. But in the end, the things u get to have before you even get a job are all from them. Its not to be kind to them cus you have to, but be kind because you are grateful for things that are given to you.

What if they're assholes, those who don't even give you anything? You learn their flaws, and DON'T be like them. you learn and improve, and so you can avoid being like them. That is a valuable lesson THEY are giving to you. You are born because of them, whether they call you an accident or not. You now have limbs and a brain, and a reasonable amount of free will, thanks to them

I'm 20 already and I slowly started to realize these things ... It's hard to get out of your bubble, especially after you stagnate and lose the edge you had before entering the comfort bubble again.
Also, I think the worst problem nowadays are the social medias. That because they basically affect everything in your life: mood, thoughts, how you use time, how you treat others around you, you get stuck easily and let time fly by, etc.
It has nice stuff and has definitely made life easier in a lot of ways, but making it a priority ruins everything. We should have like 20/30% of the time for the digital world and the rest 80/70% to invest in ourselves.

Anyways, live life everyone. And spend a lot of time with yourself since that's the one and only person who will always be with you.

I’m 24 years old and those years between 18 and now are the ones that I remember way more vividly due to the massive roller coaster that it was

From a shy and childish teen to a fit and happy person who had big dreams about college to a depressed man who couldn’t enjoy college due to the pandemic and later on mental illness and undiagnosed ADHD, who suffered from new toxic friendships to now a once again fit and mature man who is daily trying to be better than how i was yesterday.

Sadly, my 18-20 years were in a pandemic. I'm 22 now, and I feel like I lost a lot of precious time, but it's still good to see that, maybe, I have a long way to go ahead yet. Thanks for the talk, I really like this kind of video. Greetings from Brazil 🇧🇷

For anyone else with ADHD, as useful as these tips are, its important to not be too hard on yourself and to remember that we have to go about our goals in different ways than most people will. I remember when I used to always listen to self improvemt videos and just never could get it to work. This video has really great goals and insights, we just have to know how to actually put it into practice. Recommend listening to people who are experts in Adhd, they will be able to give you strategies that will work better. We can all do it

Thank you for this video. I am 24 going to 25 next month and I feel like nothing is going well in my life, I sit in my room all week thinking and resenting myself, pushing away my family and friends at the same time sinking deeper into my addiction. Today I thought long and hard on what I wanted to do with my life and this video helped me make a clearer path. I am grateful and I pray you keep reaching people like me and making the world a better place. I am going to apologise to my parents.

I’m 21 and have been going through a rough time. I started wood whittling, dog training, cooking, gardening, and biking. A lot of these were either old hobbies or things I always wanted to do. My dog won multiple prizes last weekend when I entered him in a dog agility competition. I really agree with what he says about hobbies. They really do help you snap out of a bad time.

This period of age is indeed crucial, wasting it on temporary fun will definetly affect your life very negatively, it's something that you'll regret your whole life, so you might as well avoid this and care about your growth more.

The parents part is a hard one personally because it heavily depends. Although parents give everything you need to survive in your early years(as they should), it doesnt necessarily mean you lived a good and healthy life based on that factor alone. It also has to be about how they act and treat you outside of keeping a roof under your head, as their actions shapes their children into who they are, whether that be for better or worse. A decent parent can take care of you, but a great parent loves and respects you as well. My fault, I wasnt trying to sound like a dick, just giving a different perspective on it.
